The 2020 election will be the first “by-district” election in the city’s history
Hopefully, I can help clarify some of the confusion. First of all, it is important to remember that all five city council members serve ALL of Roseville and not just the district in which they live. We should expect nothing less!
The new thing for our residents is that councilmembers are voted in by the residents in the same district in which the candidates live. This November, Districts 1, 3, and 5 are up for election.
I reside in District 5, which is the western-most “tan” district shown on the map. Only registered voters who live in that district can vote for me in November 2020. But I truly serve the entire city.
If you care about who serves on your city council, PLEASE get involved in the campaigns in all districts that are having an election. If you live near a high-traffic area, consider posting a campaign sign. If you want to help raise campaign funds (100% used towards campaign/marketing purposes), consider donating or hosting a house or business party where you invite your friends to meet the candidate, etc. For my campaign, the Get Involved section of this website is a great place to start as is the important Contribute button at the top. We’re also keeping the community up-to-date on Facebook.
